In Color Combinations

If you have the Color Wheel you know how awesome of a tool it is.  (If you don’t have one a brief description: it has all of Stampin’ Up!’s 48 colors on it, you turn the ‘dial’ to a specific color and it shows 3 coordinating colors along with a complimentary color.  It takes the guess work out of what colors to use together.)  Well, what about the the fabulous new In Colors with our 48 core colors?  Check out this awesome document put together for us by the professionals at Stampin’ Up!.  I think you’ll agree that these new In Colors compliment our core colors, Earth Elements, Soft Subtles, Rich Regals, and Bold Brights along with our Neutrals line fabulously!!!!

If you like the In Colors you’re going to want to take advantage of one of my Open House specials.  Remember, my Open House is this coming Sunday and Monday.  Please RSVP to attend and if you can’t attend you can still take advantage of the specials which I’ll be posting soon!

This year’s In Color line:

Tart and Tangy

If you don’t have the new catalog this will be a little bit of a spoiler for you.  But just a little one.  The Tart & Tangy stamp set and the Summer Picnic designer series paper made it into the new catalog from this past Spring Mini catalog.  Here’s an example of a scrapbook layout I did with them back a couple months ago with my Scrapbook club.

The oranges and limes were stamped in Craft ink and then embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder that gives the images a 3D look and kind of a candied look in my opinion.  (You know, like those candy slices you get at the candy shoppe!)

Not sure how to emboss?  Let me show you!  I’d love to set up either some one on one time with you in person or over the phone and/or help you host a successful workshop and teach you and your guests the quick, easy, and impressive look of embossing!

More Swaps…

Here are some more swaps from Convention.  And both have more clean lines.  I love the way the Stars card uses the Dotted Line jumbo wheel – very clever and it works to bring the card together.  The baby card is cute but I think adding another layer of Certainly Celery as the base card would make it look more finished.  What do you think?
Stars card created by Tracy Geisz.  Baby card created by Joy Conley.
