Clam Chowder 6 x 6 Recipe Card

Here’s another 6 x 6 Recipe Card.  This one was created by Phyllis, the originator of the idea!  Isn’t it great? That mesh is just the perfect touch.  And hey, if you don’t like clam chowder you could always put a picture there and it would make the cutest 6 x 6 scrapbook page!

6 x 6 Carrot Recipe Card

So, my awesome Technique Clubs have been doing card swaps when they meet at my house each month.  It’s not a requirement and people simply participate when they can.  Well, one club member had an idea to swap 6 x 6 recipe cards last month!   It was SUCH a great idea!  Those who swapped went home with, I think, 14 recipe cards all set and ready to put into a 6 x 6 album.  Isn’t that awesome?  What a nice, handmade gift that is, huh?  Anyway, they liked it so much they decided to do it again for our last club meeting at the end of January.  Can’t wait to see the creations!

Here’s mine from last time.  It’s a recipe that my Great Aunt gave me a few years ago and is now a staple at every Holiday meal on my husband’s side!

It uses mostly retired items – Textured Wasabi CS, the basket from Give Thanks, a retired jumbo wheel, Only Orange eyelets, even the DSP is retired.  The carrots I made by running the Only Orange CS through a crimper, then punching out a bunch of jumbo stars and the cutting the tips of the stars off for the triangle carrot pieces.  For the carrot toppers I punched a bunch of flowers from the Boho Blossoms punch and cut small pieces from the middle sized flower and glued them onto the back of the orange triangles.

Now what to do for next time!  (You know I don’t cook, right?!?!  LOL)

Eastern Blooms Thank You

This was made at one of my Marker Club meetings.  Again, shows how versatile SU! DSP is as it uses the Ski Slope DSP for a beautiful, non-wintry, Thank You note!

PCP Color Challenge 8

Okay, so unfortunately I didn’t have time to create for this week’s papercraftplanet.com Color Challenge.  (I’m off to Stampin’ Up!’s Leadership conference.) But I still thought I’d share the Inspiration Photo I found with all of you so you can challenge yourself this upcoming week!!  I wish I had time to participate because I think these colors really would be challenging yet produce something gorgeous!  In case you can’t read the colors:  Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Sage Shadow, Blush Blossom, Very Vanilla.  Sounds tough, huh?!?!  Go give it a shot and create something with those colors! Email me your creation and I’ll post it on my blog (if you want) for all to see!
