Card Club with a Twist

Love to stamp but sometimes have to <gasp> buy a card because the occasion snuck up on you or you just didn’t have the right supplies on hand?  I’ve been there (well, except I refuse to buy a card – you’ll get it late or not at all…  hmmm…) and I don’t want to be there again, do you? LOL

Mary, the Over-Achiever

We all have them.  People in our lives who we see as over-achievers, people who can’t just do things simply or the way everyone else (or just me!) would do it.  They always have to go above and beyond.  Darn those over-achievers!!!  LOL Okay, well I’m kidding, well, half-kidding.  Mary is definitely an over achiever in the stamping and friendship arenas for sure, but I don’t know about the rest of her life (although her home improvements are ALWAYS top notch too! hmmm….) Anyway, I’m losing track (as I often do unless someone can reign me in)… The card!  That’s why I’m posting – would you look at this incredible card Mary made for me?  It’s just amazing.  I taught a simple waterfall card years back but this one just goes over the top!  Thank you so much Mary. And don’t think I didn’t notice the "and many more" at the end!!!  I think four is enough, don’t you?!?!  Now enjoy everyone – and make sure someone is near by to pick your jaw back up for you when you get done looking at all 10 pictures!  LOL  Click on each picture for a bigger picture and a little more detail.

I’m not sure why the pictures aren’t in order – the settings seem right but it’s not functioning correctly.  Sorry!

Mojo Inspired Cupcake Card

It feels so good to actually participate in a challenge again!  Mojo Monday gives a sketch challenge each Monday so I went there today when prepping a project for my Marker Club members tonight.  Here’s the sketch:

I especially liked Mary Fish’s card on the Mojo site so I used hers for inspiration as well as the general sketch.  And here’s the card we’ll be making!  I just love using Glossy CS and markers together.  The look is bright and fun and there are no ‘marker lines’! (Club members look in your section to see the recipe.)

Big Shot Envelope Tote

Look at what my Big Shot club members will be making (among other things) this week!  Isn’t it cute?  (Yes, I’m patting myself on the back!  LOL)  The tote fits 3 x 3 cards in it perfectly.  (Club members check your section of my blog later this week for full pictures and cheat sheet.)
