DD’s Birthday Invitation

Funny enough we now have a child’s birthday to celebrate each quarter of the calendar year!  LOL  And next month is our oldest daughter’s birthday so the last of her invitations went out in today’s mail.  But before they went I had to take some pictures to share with you all!

I think Crazy for Cupcakes might be my current favorite set!  Remember I used it for both the invites and thank you’s for my other daughter’s birthday and I’ve recently done a Cupcakes Class and I used it for my technique club recently as well, among other instances I’m sure!

This instance of using the set just made sense because the tier of cupcakes has 6 cupcakes in it and my daughter will be turning 6!  She thought that was just perfect.  We decided easily on the pink and brown color scheme and used the retired Berry Bliss DSP along with Pretty in Pink CS.  I didn’t have enough of the Pretty in Pink taffeta ribbon for all the invites but I thought the pink striped ribbon looked just as good (if not, perhaps, better!).  And of course the Big Shot was used a TON with the Top Note die, not just for the outside but the inside as well.   And if you remember from a few posts ago I used one of the cards from the Hawaii boards as inspiration for the layout of the card.  We’re pleased in our house at how they turned out and are looking forward to a fun birthday party!

Another Reason to Love SU!

Final Donation Amount for the Fires in Australia

In late February, Stampin’ Up! announced their response to the fires that ravaged northern Australia.  Stampin’ Up! responded by organizing a relief effort in Australia and New Zealand designed to donate 50 percent of the sales of a select group of stamps to the Australian Red Cross. Because of these relief efforts, our final donation amount to the Australian Red Cross will be $77,889.63 AUD!

SU! gratefully acknowledges the hard work of Australian and New Zealand demonstrators who encouraged their customers to purchase the donation stamp sets. SU! also realizes these demonstrators, in many instances, made personal sacrifices by offering part or all of their commissions from special events to aid the relief efforts.

The worthwhile accomplishment of these demonstrators has truly made a difference.

More Butterfly Cards – HI

Butterflies are popular, especially the one from the Occasions mini, "Great Friend."  Here are some more samples from the boards in Hawaii.  Enjoy!

Again, I’m lovin’ that "Walk in the Park" paper and that White Satin ribbon!
(Ya know, if you purchased the Walk in the Park dsp, the white satin ribbon, the Great Friend stamp set and those jumbo grommets not only would you be able to make several of the above card but you’d also be able to get an item from page 208 in the Current Idea Book & Catalog for FREE!)

That ribbon looks awesome on the Whisper White cardstock!  I’m not sure I would’ve thought to pair the two together.

Still lovin’ that Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon!

Is that gorgeous or what?  That butterfly actually comes from the Simple Friendship stamp set, as does the sentiment, the swirl, and the flowers.

Hope you’re getting lots of inspiration!! Now go stamp something!!
