Still more samples…
More pictures of projects created by other demonstrators. I’ve tried to remember what grabbed me about each image.

The super large scallop circle grabbed me here. ANd I like how even though the scallop is a circle the artist didn’t feel the need to make the picture circular either and it really works. The shape of the picture definitely brings focus to the picture, which is what you want in a scrapbook page, right?! There are a ton of embellishments on this page but still the picture is way your eye goes and I think it’s again, because of the contrasting shape.

The color combinations above are so fun and uplifting. I really like the multi-colored letters of "WILD" on the scrapbook page and the butterfly on the bottom uses, I believe, the baby wipe stamping technique. Fun!

I think everyone will feel the same way I felt when I looked at these two scrapbook pages… say it with me.. ‘Aaaaaahhh.’ LOL These are just fun pages with great colors and great images!
I digressed…
Tonight was one of those nights where I realized how much I truly love stamping. Sometimes I get so bogged down with the constant worrying of coming up with projects for all of my classes, clubs, stamp a stacks, etc that I forget why I do this. I LOVE STAMPING and more importantly I LOVE STAMPIN’ UP!. I love this company that can still give me butterflies in my stomach when playing with a new product. I love this company that strives to provide us with the most recent images, accessories, embellishments, etc and teaches us ways to use them. Okay, okay… what am I talking about?
Well, a lot of my customers should be receiving their Holiday mini catalog sometime this week and if you buy nothing else from it (haha! ya right! this mini catalog is amazing!) you HAVE TO GET SOME SHIMMER PAINT. Some of you may remember how GA-GA I was over Pearl Ex… well my GA-GA-ness is back! LOL I know this scan does a yucky job of showing the shimmer, but those of you stamping with me on the 24th are going to go GA-GA with me. I know you’ll be using the product a week before you can order it, but you’ll be thanking me I’m sure! It’s JUST BEAUTIFUL and so easy to work with.
And why I digressed… I was trying to participate in Taylor’s sketch challenge for the first time in months and I digressed from the sketch… I flipped it on its side, changed the location and orientation of the accent piece, and didn’t use two different backgrounds. So… it doesn’t really follow the sketch anymore but this is yet another reminder of how much I love this craft that I do. Just let the creativity flow, play with high quality products, and it just works!
I’ll attempt to get a picture of this card so you can see the leaves and butterflies shimmer as well.
Edited: HA! I just looked at the post and then at my card IRL… there’s just no comparison. I wish you could all see this card IRL! I’m not one to boast about my cards, and really I’m not here either, just in heaven with the shimmer paint and want you all to see how gorgeous it is! I’ll work hard on taking a decent picture tomorrow!
Any better??? I know you still can’t see the shimmer on the leaves or butterfly but maybe you can see it better on the Bravo Burgundy background?

And still more displays…
Did you not believe me that the display boards are endless at Convention? LOL! They truly are! And remember I only take pictures of stuff that grabs me! Imagine how many pictures you COULD come home with! Haha! Hope you like these…
The first two pictures show so clearly EVERYTHING that comes in two of our Simply Sent card kits. It’s truly a great deal whether you’ve never stamped before, own nearly the entire SU! catalog, or are somewhere in between. Simply Sent kits contain in one (cute polka-dotted) box EVERYTHING you need to create 10 cards. It comes with detailed project instructions, all card stock pre-cut and scored, the stamp sets, inks, embellishments, envelopes, glue and any accessories needed! This would make a great gift for anyone as well. And once you’ve used up the card stock, envelopes, and glue that comes in the kit you still have the stamps, inks, and accessories!!

What the baby thought of his mama slowly browsing the display boards…

Another birthday…
… in our family. Having four children is great but a lot of work for a stamping mom who feels like all notecards, invitations, thank yous, etc must be hand stamped! With our four children we have a birthday every quarter! LOL I guess in some ways I should be thankful that there aren’t any birthdays really close together as this should give me more time to create the invites, etc. But I still haven’t yet finished the thank you notes from my daughter’s May birthday! So, in trying to stay true to myself and stamp the invites for our upcoming September birthday I’ve kept the design simple AND I basically copied the idea from someone on splitcoaststampers. I just changed the sentiment, the shape of the sentiment, the ribbon color, and one of the card stock colors and came up with this. Our upcoming birthday boy is really into boats at the moment so we’re thinking of attempting to incorporate boats in some fashion during his party… we shall see!
