Zoe’s packaging

Our friend had a baby last week and I felt compelled to create "something" for her!  So I took this Pirouette can from my back room and began decorating.  I know her nursery is yellow walls with white and green trim and has an animal motif.  So I went from there.

I used the retired Kiwi Kiss cardstock and ink and some older designer series paper that had both Kiwi Kiss and So Saffron in it.  The ribbon is also So Saffron ribbon from Sale-A-Bration a couple years ago.  I used My Digital Studio to create the oval scallop with all of Zoe's birth information.

I used the new half back pearls for the eye on the giraffe and turtle.  There are pearls in the center of the butterfly and underneath all of her birth information.  Love those pearls.  Quick, simple, and beautiful touches to complete the project.

Now I'll put the adorable and tiny girlie outfits I bought for her (I miss shopping for those teeny, tiny girl clothes!) inside the tin and get to meet her tomorrow!  Can't wait!

Back to School?

No, I guess it's not back to school time yet but I just had to make something with that cute little boy and girl stamp from Greeting Card Kids! But hey, maybe I'm ahead of the game for the kids upcoming school year?!  (yeah right!)

Anyway…the card was inspired by another creation of Nancy Riley's (I think, if I remember correctly, anyway…).  Those who attended my Stampin' Bingo made this card the other night as well!

I used Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, and Newsprint DSP along with the Greeting Card Kids and First Day stamp set.  I used markers, blender pens, and aquapainters to color in the kids.

Punched Posies Gift Card

We had Bingo the other night and here is one of the projects everyone made.  We used the new Punched Posies hostess stamp set and the new A Word for You stamp set along with the new Peach Parfait ink and new half back pearls.

I love the new Peach Parfait color.  It goes with just about every other color SU! has.  It just might be my replacement for Apricot Appeal.  Now I wonder if I can convince my husband we should have the basement repainted again this year?!  LOL

The card is meant to be a gift card you would attach to a gift bag or bottle of wine, etc.

Supplies Used:

Cardstock: Tempting Turquoise, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White

Inks: Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive

Other: Polka Dot embossing folder for Big Shot, ticket corner punch, modern label punch, half back pearls, Old Olive grosgrain ribbon

Sympathy x2

Unfortunately this past week I needed two sympathy cards.  I himmed and hawed a long time of what stamp sets to use and of course what to say but I finally decided to go with the hydrangea in the new "Because I Care" hostess stamp set and the medallion stamp from "Artistic Etchings".  For the medallion I used the baby wipe stamp pad techinque.  To do that I took a wipe and folded it in quarters.  Then I put drops of So Saffron, Old Olive, and Pink Pirouette ink on the baby wipe and used the wipe as my stamp pad.  For the hydrangea, I stamped it in Stazon and used my markers to color it in, then cut it out and used my 2 way glue pen to adhere it to the card front.  There are some subtle differences in the cards as well.  The ribbons are different shades of brown and on one card I used the new Smooch Illuminate top coat in the center of the flowers.
