About SU! and Me
I am a SAHM to FOUR wonderful children and wife to a great guy who supports me being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and hosting classes, team meetings, clubs, and more in the Stampin' Suite he built for me! I have been a demonstrator for nearly eight years now and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of creating and learning and sharing. Thank you for stopping by! Enjoy your stay and come back often.
I was first introduced to stamping in October 2002 by my sister in law (SIL) and her friend. Her friend was hostessing a workshop and was in the middle of moving so my SIL said she could have it at her home. Admittedly, I had NO idea what kind of party I was attending. I thought I'd be buying some candles or baskets or something similar I didn't actually need and that would be the end of it. I had no idea that I was about to put ink to paper and fall in love!
The workshop was quite overwhelming. The demo showed the embossing technique and then allowed us to make 3 Christmas cards, whatever we wanted for colors, stamps, and inks. She had EVERYTHING with her! Whew! Thank goodness our friend had stamped before and helped our entire table of newbies! (There was a full table of veterans there too.) Well, I think that night all of us newbies booked a workshop, one per month for like 5 months! By the end of February we'd each hosted a workshop, all continued to love it and decided one of us needed to join; so after talking it over with my husband and my dad, I joined SU! in the end of March 2003, just a month shy of my due date with our first child! I clearly was not thinking I'd make a business out of it, but rather pay for my newly acquired hobby! LOL
Fastforward seven years and here I am, making a business out of it. Living and breathing Stampin' Up! every day (just ask my poor husband!). My circle of friendships have multiplied by leaps and bounds and some of my best friends started out as customers and/ or team members. I've attended 6 Stampin' Up! Conventions, 4 Leadership Conferences, and 5 or 6 Regional conferences. I've also earned 3 incentive trips (Panama Canal cruise, Bermuda cruise, and a trip to Hawaii) and more free stamp sets than I can count. I am now a self proclaimed SU! snob. If SU! doesn't sell it, I don't own it (except for my Xyron, and if SU! comes out with one that has the SU! logo on it I'll buy it! LOL). I have a great team of 33 super demonstrators all in it for a wide variety of reasons. A couple are working it as a true business, like myself. Others do it to pay for their hobby and not take away from the household income; others do it for the adult interaction. And many more are somewhere in the middle of hobby and business demo. I think one thing is certain, we all truly love Stampin' Up!, the company, their products, and their philosophy; and we love how easy SU! makes it to be creative and share that creativity.
The SU! statement of the heart expresses the common thread between Stampin' Up! company employees and their demonstrators. And that common thread is SHARING. We share a love of stamping. We share the importance of relationships and putting family first. We share ideas and of course, we share stamp sets!
Statement of the Heart:
To love what we do
and share what we love,
as we help others enjoy creativity
and worthwhile accomplishments . . .
in this we make a difference!
My proudest creations:
