Mine and Hers…

I don't talk about my kids on here (usually) unless it involves stamping.  Well, this time it does!  My now 7 year old loves to stamp – has since she could say the word "stamping" and that was probably 18 months!  LOL  So every now and then she takes a packet that I have leftover of precut materials.  Sometimes she attempts to copy my card exactly, sometimes she's goes totally on her own.  Okay, she mostly goes totally on her own!  I wanted to show you her latest creation…

I wonder if you'll be able to tell who made which one!

Can you tell which one she made?

If not, here's hers…

And here's mine…

My version is a pretty close CASE to a card I think I saw on our Stampin' Up! demonstrator homepage from a while ago.  It uses the Breast Cancer Stamp set "Strength and Hope" and "Vintage Vogue" stamp set.

Other supplies used are:

Elegant Eggplant ink and CS
Crumb Cake ink and CS
Very Vanilla CS and ribbon
Self adhesive halfback pearls
Smooch Illuminate Top Coat

Not too shabby for 7 years old, huh?! :)   Later I'll show you another one of her creations!

Raining Flowers…

Kind of a silly title for a stamp set if you ask me but I do LOVE the stamp set!  I was looking through some old pictures and found this card I made this July.  I love the colors of this.  I think the picture is a little off for the colors but if I remember correctly the colors are Tangerine Tango, Pool Party, Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz(?) and Blushing Bride.  Really some fun colors with a fun two step stamp set.  I hope those few people who received this card enjoyed it!

September Club Cards

So, here are the cards my Technique Card Club members created this month.

I put my favorite card in front.  It uses the Always Thankful stamp set currently in the Holiday Mini catalog.  I made this card using a fun fold, slightly different than a traditional card.  And I love those tiny little silver brads!  So fun.  One of the best things of the card, in my opinion is the color combination.  The base is Soft Suede and the designer series paper is the new Peach Parfait.  Those were the colors I was going to stick with but once I had it together I really felt like it needed another color, and surprisingly that color was Cherry Cobbler!  Doesn't sound like a good combination but in the end it really worked!  A great autumn thank you card.

Other stamp sets we used were Patterned Party, French Script, Just Believe and Thank You Kindly.  The techniques we did were the fun fold, multiple colors on a single stamp, water coloring with blender pen, using the stamp a ma jig and layering images.

My club members seemed to like them and hopefully you find some inspiration in them too!
