Yes, another Make a Monster card!  You saw the invites to my little one's party… and here are the Thank You notes. 

My baby wanted a Monsters, Inc party, that's why the Monster but that proved nearly impossible because there's just not much out there any more for Monsters, Inc.  But at least the invites and thank yous were Monsters, right?  And we played soccer and other games at a nearby indoor facility, hence the soccer balls on the thank yous.  Again, my youngest was on my lap while I made most of these and he would giggle every time I glued a googlie eye on them so I know he likes the cards!!    And I thought it fitting to post these on my blog today since today is his actually 3rd birthday!!

I can't get enough of the Apothecary Art Stamp set and the coordinating Labels Framelits so here's another sample for you!

Colors used include Soft Suede, Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz (for the banner), Lucky Limeade (for the markering).  The DSP is from the In Color Stack.  Love.  And I used a couple different types of ribbons, some I put rhinestone brads on, others had pearls in the corner.  Just little touches here and there.  Love playing with all the doodads. I don't know if you can see it but I also put a dab of Dazzling Details in the center of all the flowers and used the Color Spritzer tool with the Peach Parfait marker on the main image just to shabby-it-up a little more.   Oh and if you look closely, the one with the Crumb Cake ribbon I put the Vintage Wallpaper embossed image "raised side up" and on the other card I put the embossed card stock "raised side down."  It's fun to play and change things up a bit here and there!

Kind of a silly title for a stamp set if you ask me but I do LOVE the stamp set!  I was looking through some old pictures and found this card I made this July.  I love the colors of this.  I think the picture is a little off for the colors but if I remember correctly the colors are Tangerine Tango, Pool Party, Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz(?) and Blushing Bride.  Really some fun colors with a fun two step stamp set.  I hope those few people who received this card enjoyed it!

Here is a card we made at my Open House Bingo night.  Now typically, I have a hard time doing "simple" cards.  I always want to add a little of this, a little of that, a punch here, a dab there… LOL.  But I purposely tried to go simple with this versatile new stamp set called "Easy Events."  So here's the card…

So, what does it use?

Inks: Jet Black Stazon, Wisteria Wonder marker with aquapainter, Pear Pizzazz marker

And a few dimensionals, mini glue dots, and adhesive!  Truly Simple and still pretty! 

I held my first 10/10/20 class a few weeks ago.  We made 10 different cards that should've taken about 10 minutes each to create and the fee was $20.  Here is one of the cards my guests made…

As you can tell it uses some retired items (the button, the DSP) but those are very easy to replace!

Who doesn't like new things???  I wanted to play with my new items from the Spring is Blossoming promotion but was awfully tired last night with little "mojo" when it hit me… it was Monday!  Duh!  MojoMonday!  So I went to their web site and looked at this week's sketch.  Hmmm… didn't grab me… seemed a little busy to me but I went for it!

Here's what I came up with…

So, I like it… but I don't love it.  Only because I think it's too busy.  I feel like I don't know where to look first!  Too many big focal points for me.  So I came up with a Mojo alternate.  

So basically I just eliminated one element, the linen thread but in taking out those 3 horizontal lines and bow it removed a lot (I think!).  I also made under the sentiment simpler giving the sentiment more of a chance to be seen first, rather than the ribbon behind it.  But then it hit me that the flower could use some "leaves" so I put a little ribbon there.  I think it works but I definitely wouldn't say this card is not busy… just slightly less busy than the first. 

We all have preferences – that's what creativity is all about!  What's your preference?

So really… I try hard… I do! But my poor baby didn't have his 2nd birthday invitations hand stamped by his momma.  (hanging head in shame)  But I did get his thank you notes done!  I actually stamped them a couple weeks ago but have yet to send them out.  But hey, in my world I'm still way early!  LOL

These were totally inspired by Cyn's Regionals swap card from last month.  Isn't it great?  I loved it (obviously) and knew it would perfectly for my little monkey. I love the Early Espresso background layer Cyn has but I was out of it at the time.  Oh well!

Love Tess!!!  So a couple weeks ago I had a CAbi party.  I love clothes, especially now that I am no longer pregnant or nursing as it seems that's all I was for about 8 years!  Anyway, I had the party, had a great time with the girls who came, bought some fabulous clothes and thought I'd give them a hand stamped thank you when I handed them their new clothes.  Now I have zero "clothing" stamp sets, do you have any?  The only one I could think of was Totally Tess and I don't own her!  But my friend, customer, and AMAZINGLY talented stamper Christy has her and let me borrow her.  THANK YOU CHRISTY!  Below is what I came up with.  I paper pieced the pants from some the Sweet Pea designer series paper from (I think) the Spring mini.  The Baja Breeze background was run through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice embossing folder.  The purse I stamped on some retired Rose Red designer series paper and cut out.  The ribbon is the amazing Chocolate Chip satin ribbon we had in a Holiday mini once that I HAD to stock up on because I love it so much.

It was funny, while I was stamping I totally felt like a customer because I kept thinking "I have to buy this set.  Why wasn't I drawn to her before?  This is a great set!"  LOL  I laugh because time and time again I hear from my customers how they never even noticed such and such in the catalog or didn't actually like something they saw in a catalog until they come to my Suite and stamp with it!  Then they jokingly (I hope!) sigh when they hand me their order and purchase the item they didn't think they HAD to have!  Well, I hear ya girls!!!  I now HAVE to add Totally Tess to my collection!!

Now of course I'm feeling a little guilty because I had a CAbi party in February of this year too and didn't make those girls cards!  NOT because they weren't fun (actually they were hysterical!) but because I didn't think of it!!  Shame on me!  Sorry girls!!!!

Anyway, hope you are well and enjoying fall!  Now go out and do some back to school clothes shopping for YOU!! 

Another Fall card using the Day of Gratitude stamp set and the Stampin' Pastels.  Loving this stamp set!  I also used a big designer button from the Deck the Halls assortment in the Holiday Mini and some Pumpkin Pie 1/8" Taffeta ribbon.

Last week the first Stamp a Stack of the new Stampin' Up! year was held.  The themes were Fall and Birthday.  I LOVE fall and coincidentally LOVE fall cards.  I could make autumn cards all year long!!!  The cards shown here use new stamp sets from the Holiday mini.  This Holiday mini is putting a serious dent in my wallet!!  EEK!  There are just so many awesome things in the mini! 

Birthday cards are certainly always handy to have around and so are male ones, right?!  Male cards are absolutely one of my weaknesses.  I saw a slightly different version of the Totally Tool card above on Stampin' Up!'s demo website and knew I had to CASE it.  And then you can't go wrong with a simple, floral, female birthday card. Right?
