Blue bird.
Last night I had a fun workshop with some newer ladies (and a couple very experienced ones too) so I came up with this simple yet cute card for them to create. What I love about it is I used some card kits I had already cut and bagged that were leftover from another workshop. I liked the challenge of coming up with something different out of the same materials. Maybe I should try that more often!

I used:
Stamp Sets: Good Friend, With All My Heart
Card Stock: Bashful Blue, Brilliant Blue, Whisper White
Embellishments: clear rhinestone brad, Ballet Blue 5/8" grosgrain ribbon
Inks: Bashful Blue, Brilliant Blue, Crushed Curry
Another Fabulous Swap! – Mandi
Okay, sorry to go MIA on ya for a week there! And I was doing so well!!! Aaah well… life goes on…
Here is another awesome card we made at my team shoebox swap. This was created by Mandi. Again a terrific display of the new Sweet Pea designer paper in the Occasions mini and the new Sale-A-Bration scallop trim punch. It uses the With All My Heart stamp set that I’m totally adoring these days. Cute, isn’t it? You could whip up a bunch of these in no time, stamp any sentiment in the bottom, and have cards for all occasions! Thanks Mandi!

SAB Class Projects
Here’s what you missed by not coming to my SAB class yesterday! I have to say I really had fun playing with the Happy Moments stamp set and loved, loved, loved using the Good Neighbor Designer series paper. If you think that paper is all about houses, don’t be fooled! There’s a TON of great colors and patterns in there. (Although the houses are super cute too!) You can’t go wrong.
It’s funny, while I was creating these cards (which were mostly CASEd from other cards I’ve seen recently) I noticed I’m a white fan these days. I used to always lean toward Very Vanilla as I thought Whisper White was too harsh. But I’m finding I really like the clean, crisp, fresh look of Whisper White these days. Anyway… just a random thought I thought I’d share. Change is good!

Thanks!
So this card almost hit the trash, but not because of me!!! My husband received it from his friend for something rather (his friend’s wife is also a SU! demonstrator) and he read it and tossed it. NUH UH! I rescued it. Isn’t it great?
Each of the letters are white embossed and then watercolored in and cut out. She even watercolored the white space on the designer series paper so it would be olive (not sure I would’ve thought of that!!) and match the colors of the letters. And if you look closely I took the picture so you could see the inside of her card. She always decorates the inside of her cards to match as well. Doesn’t that just look great? I’m lucky I finish the front of a card let alone give it a fabulous inside! Anyway, just thought you’d want to see this wonderful, versatile card!
Have a great day!

Tonight’s Stamp Camp Projects
Tonight was the kick off to our Six Stamp a Stack class series. Each stamper created 12 cards, 3 each of the four designs seen below. The back two cards were designs of mine and the front two were variations of others I found online. All told we made 6 wintery thank you cards and 6 birthday cards in under 2 hours! And had fun while doing it!!
Our next one is scheduled for January 5th. We’d love to have you stamp with us! We’ll be creating 6 Valentine cards and 6 Anniversary/Wedding cards. For more information click here. To RSVP for the 5th please click here. Thank you!
