Bitty Birthday Mojo
I love stamping! I just can’t get to it as much as I’d like. Can I get an amen to that? LOL
Anyway… I got to create my own creation (versus some CASE-ing that I’ve done lately) last night and I kinda followed this week’s mojo sketch. And this will be one of the cards for stamp club this week. Hopefully they like it!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Bitty Birthday (you can earn this free with Sale-A-Bration right now!)
Card Stock: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Rose Red
Designer Paper: Sweet Pea (in the current Occasions mini – it’s awesome and a HUGE pack!!)
Ribbon: Pretty in Pink Satin
Other: ticket corner punch, designer label punch, circle scissors plus, 1 3/4" circle punch
First Card of the New Year!
Wow – it was both great and difficult to put ink to rubber to paper today! It has been waaaaay too long since I have stamped. It was awesome to sit and stamp again but very difficult to get a groove going as well. Let’s hope I’ve worked out some kinks and the next ones come more quickly and easily.
I started with the Mojo sketch from this week (I did stray a little from the sketch but that’s okay) and knew I wanted to play with two new stamps: I {Heart} Hearts and Well Scripted.
Even with a slight loss of clear chunky glitter to my stamp room floor (thanks to my 2 year old) I like the way it turned out and hope you do too (especially my stamp club members who will be making this Wednesday night!).
The color is a little off (got a new camera for my birthday last month and still have A LOT to learn on it!) but the colors used are Real Red, Chocolate Chip, and Very Vanilla.

Penguin and Polar Bear friends
Another day, another challenge! LOL I wish it was that easy! But I have designing to do for Stamp Club on Wednesday and I love starting with sketches and rolling from there so yeah me got to play two days in a row!
Here’s my take on Taylor’s sketch challenge this week. First time putting ink on these cuties!! I LOVE THEM! My Scrapbook clubbers, don’t be surprised if you see these guys next time…

Quick card highlights:
Cold & Cuddly Stamp set (in the current Holiday mini)
Holiday Lounge DSP (in the current Idea Book & Catalog)
Ice Circle Rhinestone brads
Frost White shimmer paint applied with an old blender pen to the ice
modern label punch
Circle Scissors plus
Stampin’ Up! colors used: Chocolate Chip, Sahara Sand, Taken with Teal, and Ruby Red
Four Reasons for this card…
So… my friend Mary showed me some great Thanksgiving Day easel cards she was making not too long ago. If you know Mary you know she likes the more involved, intricate type projects (remember this?) so I thought to myself, ‘must not attempt easel card.’ LOL
Well, in the last couple weeks these easel cards have started popping up everywhere in the online stamping world. So I thought maybe I should reconsider my original thoughts on these and try something new! And then it turned out that splitcoaststampers posted a tutorial on them and then I discovered the Crazy 4 Challenges blog posted an easel card for a challenge last week. Of course I didn’t get my card done in time for the challenge deadline, but that’s okay. I actually combined it with this week’s C4C Challenge of using acetate as well!
So have you counted three reasons thus far as to why I created this card? 1) to attempt something new 2) to participate in the easel card challenge 3) to participate in the acetate challenge. What’s number 4 you ask? To create a project to be made at this week’s Stamp Club meeting!! Hope my clubbers like it!!

If anyone from SU! is reading this, please don’t ever retire the ‘Lovely as a Tree’ stamp set! It’s such a wonderfully fabulous versatile stamp set! I white embossed the trees onto Night of Navy cardstock. See the snowflake acetate covering the trees? I used Frost White Shimmer Paint for the snowflakes using the new ‘Serene Snowflakes’ stamp set. The sentiment ‘warm winter wishes’ comes from the hostess stamp set ‘The More the Merrier’ and I used the shimmer paint for that as well. And just to add more sparkle (and a prop for the easel) I put a strip of sticky strip across the base and covered it with the Silver Glass mix beads. That’s another product I don’t use enough! Love how it sparkles (of course it looks better IRL, but use your imagination!)
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about product used on this card. Take care!
Polka Dot Ornament Card
I love polka dots. I love black and white. I love starting with a card sketch. I love Gymboree.
Did you read that last one twice? LOL Yes, I love Gymboree, the kids clothing store. Let me explain why that pertains to this post: the colors and the patterns! There’s this great Panda Bear line right now at Gymboree and slowly I’ve been adding pieces of this line to my daughter’s closet (even got some more today!). So this great clothing line was the inspiration for my card. Here’s the Mojo Monday sketch, the Gymboree line, and my card! Enjoy. (Click on the card for an added bonus.)
