Some general tags…

So I wanted to play with the New Cookie Press stamps a week and a half ago so I made some sugar cookies and stamped away!  They looked really cute!  Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the cookies!

But I did get a picture of the tags my soon to be 7 year old daughter created to go along with the tags!  She went through my stamp stash and found an old Sale A Bration set (Yummy) and then added a snowflake.  I cut the card stock and added a rhinestone.  I think we make a great team!

Don't you love that Cherry Cobbler ribbon?  It's almost as yummy as the cookies and candy included in the treat bag!

Heather’s Event Cards…

So today is my Help for Heather event.  I'm really excited for it and am proud to have raised a good deal of money for her with hopes of raising more at the event!

I thought I'd share just two of the 6 cards everyone will be making.  (They make 2 of each card for a total of 12.)  I'd show you all of them, but part of me feels like the participants paid for the event so I should keep some of it exclusive to them.  Hope you understand!

So I did see one like this somewhere (probably SCS).  I thought it was perfect for this event.  Very pretty, very girly, yet simple and not over the top.  It uses the Tulip embossing folder, the Butterflies die, some DSP from last year's Sale A Bration, antique brad, and the Elements of Style and With All My Heart stamp sets.  (Click on the card to see the instruction sheet.)

Here's another one they will be making.

Again, this one uses some SAB DSP from last year.  I promise all the rest of the cards used current supplies. ;)   Again, another simple yet beautiful card. I watercolored the hydrangea with aquapainters and then once it was dry I added some touches of Champagne Mist shimmer paint here and there.  Hard to see in the picture… hmmm… let me see if this picture is any better. :)   Click the card for the instructions sheet.

Enjoy!  Wish you were stamping with us today!

24 days???

Yes, it’s been 24 days since my last post!!  Life is crazy – but I love it and wouldn’t want it any other way (well, except for a little more stamping time thrown in each day of course!).

Here is a card we made a couple weeks ago…

I’ve been really trying to make some more boy birthday cards lately and find that apparently red and black are my ‘go to’ boy colors!   LOL  Not sure why that is but I think it works!

What I Used:
Card Stock: Real Red, Basic Gray (3 7/8" x 4 1/2"), Whisper White (1 3/4" squares)
Stamp Sets: Just Soccer, Starring You
Punches: 1 3/8" circle,  1 1/4" circle, star
Embellishments: Basic Black narrow grosgrain, Basic Black brad

How I Created it:
Stamp shoes and soccer balls on SCRAP white.  Punch soccer balls out with 1 ¼” circle punch.  Cut out shoes.  Adhere these onto the white squares with adhesive.
Stamp birthday star on scrap white and punch out with 1-3/8” circle.

February 2010 Stamp Club Projects

Here are tonight’s club projects!  There was some definite CASE-ing going on with the baseball and flower cards (found them on splitcoast – I did change them both a bit) and then you saw the birthday cake one in my post from yesterday.  We put dark chocolate m&m’s in the treat cup.  Yum!
These were fun cards to create – hopefully now that the first card has been made with a hidden door for the treat cup that more of these will be created!  It’s always getting the concept for the first time that is tricky, then it gets easier, right?!?!

Stamp Sets Used: Pick a Petal, Just Baseball, Bitty Birthday
Designer Paper: Bride Specialty, Sweet Pea
RIbbons: Crushed Curry polka dot grosgrain, Old Olive wide grosgrain, Pretty in Pink satin

Bitty Birthday Mojo

I love stamping!  I just can’t get to it as much as I’d like.  Can I get an amen to that?  LOL

Anyway… I got to create my own creation (versus some CASE-ing that I’ve done lately) last night and I kinda followed this week’s mojo sketch.   And this will be one of the cards for stamp club this week.  Hopefully they like it!

Supplies Used:

Stamp Set: Bitty Birthday (you can earn this free with Sale-A-Bration right now!)
Card Stock: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Rose Red
Designer Paper: Sweet Pea (in the current Occasions mini – it’s awesome and a HUGE pack!!)
Ribbon: Pretty in Pink Satin
Other: ticket corner punch, designer label punch, circle scissors plus, 1 3/4" circle punch
