Vintage Christmas Scrapbook Layout

We've all had creative blocks, yes?  Well I kept thinking and thinking and thinking for tonight's Scrapbook class and just kept coming up blank 'til yesterday.  Yes, yesterday!  LOL  So last night and today these pages finally came together.  Nothing like last minute, huh?  Usually I have my ideas well ahead of time, it's the cutting that I'm always pushing it to the last minute!

But I have to say, I think this layout was worth the wait (and creative frustration!).  What do you think?

The bells I watercolored in with my aquapainter.  Then I applied some Champagne Mist shimmer paint with a blender pen to the berries and shaded portions of the ribbon.

The poinsettias were again colored in with my aquapainter.  I cut it out and attached with dimensionals.  I applied some Champagne glass glitter with Crystal Effects to the center of the poinsettias.

I love those vintage tags!  They just add a touch of elegance to anything.  And the beautiful crochet ribbon – LOVE.  Here I stamped a little doodad from "Always" stamp set, punched it out with a 1/2" circle punch and attached it to the tag with a dimensional.

More crochet ribbon… did I mention that I love it?  And a glimmer brad from the In Color collection along with a tag from the Table Setting die.

Colors used: Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler (textured), and Naturals Ivory.
Stamp Sets used: Bells & Boughs, Belle wheel, Artistic Etchings, Broadsheet Alphabet
Designer Paper: Deck the Halls

Some Halloween Scrapbooking

Here is another layout we did at last month's Scrapbook Club.  I LOVE Halloween.  I just wish the "season" was a little bit longer so we could play with all the great Halloween products longer!!  LOL  Can you spot the difference between the two pages?  (Well, besides the words and the bat that looks like it's taking a nose dive – I'll fix that before I slip it into the scrapbook!)

Supplies Used:

Stamp Sets: Wicked Cool, Broadsheet Alphabet
Inks: Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Basic Black
Card Stock: Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories/Embellishments: Glimmer brads, scallop oval and oval punch, 1-3/8" circle punch, Basic Black grosgrain, bat punch

And the difference?  On one page I applied Chunky black glitter to the hats with Crystal effects.  But after I did that page I decided I liked the page without the glitter better.  I like how the vertical stripes in the hats mimic the vertical stripes in the Halloween DSP. :)

Pilgrim & Indian Owls… :)

These little guys and gals make me smile.  Would the pages be a little more formal without them?  Of course.  But who needs to be formal all the time?

Supplies Used Above:

Card Stock:  Really Rust (retired), More Mustard, Cajun Craze, Soft Suede, Naturals White, Chocolate Chip
Inks: Cajun Craze, Soft Suede, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip
Punches: Owl Punch, My Way punch, 1" and 3/4" circles, 1/4" square, paper piercer
Accessories/Embellishments: Glimmer brad, vintage tag, hemp twine, dimensionals
Stamp Set: Day of Gratitude, Thankful For

And here they are again, together and more close up.  It's hard to tell but I used my paper snips to fringe the bottom edge of the Indian's dress.  (Dress probably isn't the right word, but you know what I mean!)

This card makes me laugh because it wasn't until I was looking at the picture of my card that it looks to me like my Indian is a little crazy and the Pilgrim knows it and is trying to look away!  LOL

Supplies Used on Card Above:

Card Stock: Chocolate Chip, Cajun Craze, Autumn Spice DSP, More Mustard, Old Olive
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Versamark(R)
Accessories/Embellishments: owl punch, retired spring bouquet punch, Decorative Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Oval Punch, paper piercing mat & template, paper piercer, ¼” square punch
Stamp Sets: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Autumn Harvest

Hope you enjoy!!

School Days are Fun Days!

Here is a layout the "Kay's Girls" created this month.  It uses Pacific Point, Real Red, and Old Olive card stock and the Celebrations DSP along with a couple of retired stamp sets.  The school color is Royal Blue so I thought this would be fun.  The girls did great and as usual took my inspiration and ran with it to make their pages their own!  Do you have a group of young girls who would love to scrapbook their entire school year?  Let me know!  I'd love to talk with you about it.

Christmas Scrapbook Pages

This year I did a silver and red themed tree so I just had to make a layout to go with it.  Now to get those pictures printed….

Anyway – I used the printed snowflakes acetate, the Delightful Decorations stamp set and coordinating Ornament punch all from the Holiday mini.  I added some vellum paper snowflakes and added our Duo Silver Beads to the center (I have to have bling!).  I also dabbed on some Frost White Shimmer Paint (did you know all 3 shimmer paints from the Holiday mini are STILL available!!!!) on the ornaments and the edges of the Kraft cs.  A special shout out of thanks to my friend Teresa M for the inspiration of these pages!

And here’s our tree.  Not sure if you can tell the red/silver going on on the tree.  I really need some photography lessons!  I have this great new camera now and no idea how to use it!  Silly!

And here is Christmas morning (bear in mind we have 4 kids!).
