May’s Technique Club Projects

Here are the projects the girls made last night in club.  They all feature new items in the current Summer Mini.  My new favorite stamp set, The Open Sea, along with the fun Elegant Bouquet punch.  The little tote is perfect for holding a gift card, small candies/treats, or Ghirardelli squares like I gave each club member!

Heather’s Event Cards…

So today is my Help for Heather event.  I'm really excited for it and am proud to have raised a good deal of money for her with hopes of raising more at the event!

I thought I'd share just two of the 6 cards everyone will be making.  (They make 2 of each card for a total of 12.)  I'd show you all of them, but part of me feels like the participants paid for the event so I should keep some of it exclusive to them.  Hope you understand!

So I did see one like this somewhere (probably SCS).  I thought it was perfect for this event.  Very pretty, very girly, yet simple and not over the top.  It uses the Tulip embossing folder, the Butterflies die, some DSP from last year's Sale A Bration, antique brad, and the Elements of Style and With All My Heart stamp sets.  (Click on the card to see the instruction sheet.)

Here's another one they will be making.

Again, this one uses some SAB DSP from last year.  I promise all the rest of the cards used current supplies.   Again, another simple yet beautiful card. I watercolored the hydrangea with aquapainters and then once it was dry I added some touches of Champagne Mist shimmer paint here and there.  Hard to see in the picture… hmmm… let me see if this picture is any better.   Click the card for the instructions sheet.

Gina’s Vintage Card

Here's another fabulous pink and brown card we made at the Team Swap last week.  Gina created a great vintage Wedding or Anniversary card.  She used the new Blushing Bride card stock and marker along with Crumb Cake card stock and ink.

Other supplies used:

Occasional Quotes stamp set, Elements of Style stamp set, Bitty buttons, Lattice die with the Big Shot,  and the Pinking Hearts border punch.  You can't see it in the picture but we also used the Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz.  It's sooo pretty!

Elements of Style with Shimmer

Here is a card I created with the Elements of Style stamp set.  I guess I'm in a Vintage and watercoloring phase right now.  I seem to be drawn to this style a lot lately.  It's so calming.

I particularly enjoyed using the new Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder and the Smooch Illuminate Top coat.  Can you see the glimmer here and there on the flowers?  Sooooo simple and pretty!  It dries quickly too. 

Details:

Card Base: Basic Black (8.5" x 5.5")
Layers:
   – Melon Mambo (4 1/8" x 5 3/8")
   – Basic Black (3 5/8" x 4 5/8")
   – Naturals White (3.5" x 4.5")

Embellishments:  Basic Black 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink - Illuminate Top Coat

Inks: Black Stazon, Rose Red, Certainly Celery pad and marker, Melon Mambo marker, Bordering Blue (retired color)

Accessories: Big Shot, Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, aquapainter, Illuminate Top Coat
