Upgraded Winter Pages…
So as promised here is a picture of the pages we created at Scrapbook Night last night.

So, as usual, my pictures never do anything justice. Someday I'll get a light box!
But these pages have a great vintage feel to them. The colors are Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake, and Chocolate Chip.
I love, love, love the 1 1/4" striped grosgrain ribbons these days and I LOVE fraying it! The frayed edges just add to a fabulously vintage feel.
And of course the shimmer paints are favorites of mine. I used silver shimmer paint on the edges of the snowflakes and the Decorative Label punch (from the Occasions mini).
The edges of the pages have snowflakes stamped in Chocolate Chip and Craft Whisper White ink on the edges of the textured Baja Breeze card stock. I frayed the edges of the striped ribbon and added some glimmer brads and Crochet Trim ribbon as well.
You may be wondering why the title of this post? Well, remember the kids winter pages? Those were great pages and I used them as inspiration for these pages but was able to add the fun snowflake embellishment, shimmer paint, the snowflakes from the Big Shot, fraying the ribbon, the glimmer brads, and Crochet trim ribbon. Hope you all enjoy adding your pictures to these layouts!

Sneak Peek for My Scrapbook Club
My Scrapbook Club meets this Monday night. We talked last time about doing a winter page so I decided to use the pages I did for my young girls as inspiration. Of course I am able to spice it up a bit for my adult stampers not only because they're adults, but because they obviously have a love for stamping (or they wouldn't be in my club, right?!) and there are 8 of them (versus 16 young girls!).
So… here are the upgrades. After the club meets I'll show you the completed pages.

Some Scrapbooking…
Here's some more stamping I did in December! (See, I was just too busy to post! Sorry! But aren't you glad to see them now? Maybe? hehe)
Anyway, you may have seen that I stamp with 16 girls ages 5-8 years old each month. They create a 2 page layout each month and when we are finished they will have a 20 page scrapbook! Well for December we focused on winter (we had already done Christmas in November!). The layout was inspired by a project I saw in our monthly Stampin' Up! demonstrator magazine. (I know I've mentioned these publications before – I really do love them! They provide oodles and oodles of inspiration! So, first, here's the project that inspired me. (Created by Carol Gensweider of Pflugerville, Texas)
Isn't that pretty? I thought so! But clearly it's not a scrapbook page… Here's what I came up with for the girls (ages 5-8).

So, as you might be able to tell, I copied the stamping of the trees with Night of Navy ink and Whisper White craft ink from Carol's card. The girls then stamped snowflakes on the Baja Breeze card stock edges.
They then stamped various titles like "Skiing Fun" and "Skating Fun" to make the page their own in Night of Navy ink.
Other supplies used:
Card Stock: Night of Navy, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Night of Navy 1 1/4" striped grosgrain ribbon, felt snowflakes (retired), and basic jewel rhinestones (in the center of the snowflakes).
Hope you like them! The girls and their moms did which always makes me smile BIG!

Tonight’s Stamp Camp Projects
Tonight was the kick off to our Six Stamp a Stack class series. Each stamper created 12 cards, 3 each of the four designs seen below. The back two cards were designs of mine and the front two were variations of others I found online. All told we made 6 wintery thank you cards and 6 birthday cards in under 2 hours! And had fun while doing it!!
Our next one is scheduled for January 5th. We’d love to have you stamp with us! We’ll be creating 6 Valentine cards and 6 Anniversary/Wedding cards. For more information click here. To RSVP for the 5th please click here. Thank you!
