Today is my DD#2’s fourth birthday! (You may remember me making her invitations [in November].) So, I combined the challenge I set forth over at PaperCraft Planet and needing a birthday card for her (knowing her favorite color is blue). I’m pretty pleased with it. I used the same basic layout from the card I did for Kristina’s Color Challenge last night; I just changed a few things (like adding brads, taking away paper piercing, the stamp sets are different, no cording, the colors obviously) and continued with a few elements (like the silver stamping in the background of the top right and bottom left corners, the focal point being exactly in the center, and the sentiment being to the bottom right).

Here’s the Inspiration Piece for PCP Challenge #5: pcpcc5

And here is my daughter’s birthday card: cc5sample

Notice I took the flowers from the Inspiration piece, the silver edging from the candle holders, and the Chocolate Chip was edged kind of like the blocks in the background being edged in the Chocolate Chip, and that center strip on the center candle was carried over in the Garden Green strip.
