Frosty Day Scrapbook Page
Okay, once again I’m away! This time I’m at a Stampin’ Up! conference in Orlando.
Then Disney with the family and then resting in Ft Myers. I’m hopeful that all the sun and warmer weather will yield a healthy Allen family!!
Anyway, so my blog doesn’t sit without any posts….I used the Frosty Day DSP from the Holiday mini to make a hanging at the pool page! The colors just worked perfectly. Another reason I absolutely have an addiction to SU! DSP – its versatility!!

Another Chipboard Tutorial
Covering your chipboard with designer series paper is super easy and a great way to jazz up and paper crafting project. On this scrapbook page I used the Washington Apple Designer Paper in a couple different ways, one being to cover the chipboard to highlight "1st". Just click the "1st" to see the tutorial. Don’t you just love Disney? This is one of the layouts we created at my first all day scrapbook event a few weeks ago. Don’t forget there’s another all day event coming up in which we’ll be scrapping through the Holidays. Registration deadline for that is 10/15.

Sneak Peek – Bella Rose DSP
Well, I know the retired list and accessories can be a bit of a downer but remember there is always a plethora of new, exciting, gorgeous Stampin’ Up! products coming to replace the retired ones!!! And this sample showcases some of the ‘NEW’ to be available on August 11. This chipboard calendar was one of the four projects made at my Demo Only Stamp camp this month. Members of my team got to play with the new paper and new colors!
This is the Bella Rose designer series paper (DSP). It features (drum roll please) not one, but two new In Colors for ’08-’09 – Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss. It also has (as you can see in the polka dot strip) my favorite color (just ask my girls) Chocolate Chip.
What exactly are you looking at? It’s a chipboard coaster covered in the Bella Rose dsp (I used Mod Podge to adhere the dsp) and a binder clip as the base stand. The medallion is from the Baroque Motifs stamp set (LOVE it) and I know it’s hard to tell from the picture (I promise, I’ll be getting a new camera and have better images in the future!) but I inked up the medallion in Riding Hood Red, wiped off the ink from the dots with a tissue, and then used my Chocolate Chip marker to apply ink to the dots, gave the stamp a good huff, and stamped it on Whisper White, cut it out, added a vintage brad, and adhered with a dimensional.
The ribbon is the Chocolate Chip taffeta ribbon (yummy).
The chipboard coasters and calendars were purchased here. Wouldn’t this make a great teacher or co-worker gift? I think these would jazz up anyone’s desk!
