Kristina’s 41st Color Challenge

These are difficult colors for me to work with yet I absolutely love them together and how sharp they look together.  This is my first attempt… I think I’ll play a little longer and make a few tweaks to this card.  What d’ya think?  I loosely followed the sketch challenge 214 on SCS and of course stuck with Kristina’s colors: Riding Hood Red, Basic Black, Basic Gray, and Whisper White.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone!   Hope you all enjoy a wonderful day and feel that you are loved.

Here is a card I sent to all my club members from the last catalog.  I just love the Love You Much stamp set, Candy Lane DSP, Heart to Heart punch, and Pretty in Pink taffeta ribbon!  The card base is Rose Red, the dots and sentiment came from Garden Greetings, and I stamped the hearts in Chocolate Chip ink before punching them out with the Heart to Heart punch.

I really do appreciate all of my club members and hopefully this card made them feel that way!

Take care everyone!

Frosty Day Scrapbook Page

Okay, once again I’m away!  This time I’m at a Stampin’ Up! conference in Orlando.   Then Disney with the family and then resting in Ft Myers.  I’m hopeful that all the sun and warmer weather will yield a healthy Allen family!!

Anyway, so my blog doesn’t sit without any posts….I used the Frosty Day DSP from the Holiday mini to make a hanging at the pool page!  The colors just worked perfectly.  Another reason I absolutely have an addiction to SU! DSP – its versatility!!

PCP Color Challenge #7

A day early… but I needed to stamp something!  The craziness of the holidays didn’t allow a lot of stamping time so it felt good to stamp again today.  And… I took a picture of it that I think actually came out well and now can’t find my USB cord for my camera – go figure.  So here’s a scan of it – oh well.  (Remember, anyone can join PaperCraftPlanet.com!!)

The inspiration piece from a sale Pottery Barn catalog I received in the mail the other day.  The colors are: Kiwi Kiss, Pumpkin Pie, Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip and Naturals Ivory or Very Vanilla.

My creation:

It uses a NEW stamp set from the upcoming Spring/Summer catalog coming out in January.  The set is called Petal Pizazz.  I took apart a few of our rhinestone brads and simply glued the rhinestones in place.  The layout I took from a Christmas card we did in a class in November.  Hope you like it!  What can you create with these colors?

Unfortunately I think that most people overlook this fabulous stamp set in the catalog.  I have played with it several times (for one, I am doing a class featuring the Heritage Holidays stamp set coming up on November 10th) and this is my latest creation using the set.  If you’re coming to my Christmas Card stamp a stack on November 6th then you’ll be making 3 of these!  Lucky you!

And Kristina’s challenge this week was pretty vague – Use Red – any color red as the main color of the card.  So I think this works! :)   Let me know what you think!  Oh and thank you to Becky Roberts, another SU! demo, for inspiring the layout of the card.
